🏠 KUWAIT RESIDENTS (EXPATRIATES)

Required Documents:

• Original Passport (valid minimum 6 months)
• Civil ID (hard copy or electronic version)
• Exit Permit (printed copy - MANDATORY)
• Saudi Arabia Visa (printed copy)
• Valid Kuwait Residency (minimum 3 months validity)

Saudi Visa Options for GCC Residents:

• Saudi eVisa available online for GCC residents
• Valid for 1 year with maximum 90 days stay per visit
• Apply through official Saudi visa portal

✈️ VISITORS / TOURISTS

Required Documents:

• Original Passport (valid minimum 6 months)
• Kuwait Visit Visa (printed copy)
• Saudi Arabia Visa (printed copy - MUST obtain before arrival)
• Onward travel tickets or confirmed itinerary

🛂 BORDER CROSSING INFORMATION

Available Borders:

• Nuwaiseeb Border (Eastern Route) - Primary crossing to Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah
• Salmi Border (Western Route) - Alternative crossing to Qaisumah and northern Saudi Arabia

Border Requirements:

• Arrive early - processing times vary significantly
• Printed copies of all documents required
• Digital-only documents may not be accepted
• Ensure no unpaid fines or travel bans exist in Kuwait
• Vehicle insurance valid for Saudi Arabia required if driving

• Exit permits are mandatory for all expatriate residents as of July 2025
• Employer approval required for exit permit
• Visit visa holders cannot obtain Saudi visa on arrival at land border
• Transit passengers must have confirmed onward tickets
• Travel bans are strictly enforced for unpaid debts or legal issues
• Border processing may take several hours during peak times
